About Me

  Born in NY my family and I moved to South Florida when I was 5 years old. My mom shared with my brothers and me her strong faith in the Lord, and it penetrated my soul. Nightly she knelt at our bed and prayed with us. I remember coming to faith early in my life when mom brought my brothers and me to a revival in a movie theatre in South Florida when I was only around 8 years old. I raised my hand to accept His free gift of salvation.  That launched my faith journey!
 

I married Bob, my lifetime love of 52 years, in the 70’s.  In 1980, I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida with a Degree in Marketing. Then we moved to Illinois where I stayed home and raised our family which consisted of Kim, Kat and Jeff. My desire to know the Lord more deeply grew as I studied over 15 years in Community Bible School, 3 years in Precept classes, and various other small groups at churches. During that time until present I also was officer and member of many organizations. I worked for Levy Restaurants as the director of the quality control program garnering feedback for their restaurants and sports/entertainment. 

When I officially retired, I thought I was ready to rest but the Lord awakened me in the wee hours of the morning in May of 2016 with my first poem “I Rest in You”. The love and passion for my Lord grew beautifully in poems praising Him for whispering to me when I thought my work was done. I have now written over 200 poems and am working on publishing. Hopefully this also tells you that YOU TOO can be given a gift from the Lord when you least expect it. I pray this website, and poetry will touch your heart as you hear the words gently whisper to you too!
